I checked on the GTKpod (An GTK-based iPod sync app) website, and it says their newest release has preliminary support for the iPhone and iPod touch as far as music syncing goes. The caveat is that the phone must be jailbroken first. www.gtkpod.org I'm sure more compatibility is coming soon, and if GTKpod is getting it to work, Banshee's probably not far behind. -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: "Thomas R. Hello all,
I was wondering if anybody here has had the opportunity of syncing a iPhone on a openSUSE system? Preferably the 10.3 release.
Got mine today, it recognizes the device as a camera. F-Spot downloads images. But I haven't tried to go any farther yet.
Any caveats, workarounds, and general tips or tricks.
Cheers. Thomas R. Jones

www.gtkpod.org
As it's really mostly a function of the underlying libgpod, I would think that any application dealing with media devices using libgpod would acquire this capability once gtkpod does.
