Hello ! I have one PRIMERGY server with SuSE 8.1 PRO and I put a second processor today ... after I change kernel with SMP support ... and I ran mkinitrd and lilo than I rebooted ... The system froze when boot . +++last messages when boot+++ Detecting Adaptec I2O RAID controllers... Adaptec I2O RAID controller 0 at f9006000 size=100000 irq=18 +++ If I boot in failsafe mode system works fine ... +++ Loading Adaptec I2O RAID: Version 2.4 Build 5 Detecting Adaptec I2O RAID controllers... Adaptec I2O RAID controller 0 at f9006000 size=100000 irq=18 dpti: If you have a lot of devices this could take a few minutes. dpti0: Reading the hardware resource table.
