I'm using Suse 9.1 professional and I have some troubles in managing figures made with xfig. When exporting to eps, I can't succeed in having latex expressions properly displayed. Equations are displayed in the eps file "as they are" i.e. as plain latex commands such as: $\alpha=\omega$ While exporting, the xfig console gives me errors such as: can't find file /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xfig/fig2dev/it_IT.ps can't find file /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xfig/fig2dev/UTF8.ps Thus I set LC_ALL and LANG variables with en_GB language (I'm italian so I have UTF supported): I don't have the error anymore but the equation are still displayed as latex plain text.
