use the freesco router on a disk from www.freesco.org , just download it , copy to floppy and stick it into any old box , reboot , configure it (takes about 10 minutes) amd then just set the windows boxes to the router box with dns server I think it is. This has firewalliing in it as well by default as well. To do this with suse you will need to look into ip masq and frirewalling to do the same. A lot more difficult and time consuming. Set the modem up as you would normally do (using wvdial) and get it working as a normal modem for SuSE 7 only. Then all you need to do to set up basic sharing is to type the following two commands: echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward ipchains -P forward MASQ Of course, you'll have to do further configuration to improve the firewalling on the linux computer, and if you want SuSE to dial up automatically, you'll need to set up diald (which isn't that difficult either).
