Just Updated to kde2.1 from the suse ftp site and have noticed a couple of anomalies. 1. The kde splash screen stays locked at 60% for about 2 minutes before going away. 2. The new kwintv-0.8.5-25 says "The KDE libraries are not designed to run with suid privileges." when I try to run it. I've installed almost all of it except the qt-experimental, qt-static, and qt-freebies. Did I install something I shouldn't have or must I do these also?? -- Mark Hounschell dmarkh@cfl.rr.com

Never mind. I just chmod'ed kwintv and for some reason the splash screen seems to be working now after a couple reboots. Damn I hate that. -- Mark Hounschell dmarkh@cfl.rr.com
