I'm only too glad I could help :-) Yahoo are terrible for actually finding somewhere to contact them. My account was locked a few weeks ago and they were awful with their 'help'. I'd say one thing, they'd say another entirely and usually something I had already tried and told them that I had tried more than once to be sure about it. Hope you manage to get the problem sorted soon. -- ============================================== I am only human, please forgive me if I make a mistake it is not deliberate. ============================================== Take care. I have to be honest and say that I think I would be inclined to do that too. -- ============================================== I am only human, please forgive me if I make a mistake it is not deliberate. ============================================== Take care. What does your question, if that's what the above is, have to do with Linux?

I'm finding it interesting :-) Given your (unsigned) interjection must I assume that the same commands work under non-Linux O.S.? Colin

As the post was marked OT (OT = Off topic) you had to know that it was probably not related to SuSE. You chose to read the post and therefore wasted your own time. As for the couple of K of bandwidth wasted, the size of SPAM I get on a daily basis outweighs the odd OT thread received and my ADSL with 3GB cap still survives an entire month. The thread turned out giving some information on how to do DNS lookups and whois queries. But like I said the OT implies that the post does probably have nothing to do with Linux so if you only want to spend some time reading posts on Linux, ignore posts starting with OT addressed to this thread. Some OT threads could become quite interesting and actually provides for a laugh from time to time. Albert -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. A month, or so ago, I mentioned on this list that I had a hack on Yahoo using gaim. I contacted the gaim security people and their opinion was that Yahoo is vulernable, not the clients we are using. I have also seen a couple of attacks where buddy lists have been taken and messages sent to. I think Yahoo has some serious security issues. Jim

Hmmm, yea. Yahoo may have attacks it is vulnerable to, but asfor "hacking into her account" Bullshit. The only time I've EVER heard of someone able to "haxxor hotmail accounts" was when Microsoft had a huge problem and there was a page where you could actually grab passwords for any hotmail account. I remember seeing so many programs that claimed to hack internet mail accounts it's not even funny. Guess how many work? Now if only the kids would learn you don't hack web based email accounts the way they think.

I have a screen shot of me changing my cousin's AIM account profile to be a link to goatse.
