I just tried to order it from the Novell/suse site.... (U.S.) I have never seen a more convoluted web site and I never did find a place to order it. I even went to their 'total product price list' where the latest SuSE offered is 9.1..... I gave up.

couldn't have been too difficult. It wasn't hard at all actually, not even dealing w/ the Digital River folks who just often are a tad , erm.. flakey is the kindest way to put it. I didn't even get a blonde hair out of place including printing the invoice ! ;) New OS version due "soon" ( YAY !!! ) I *was* getting kinda bored w/ the present version ... it's almost too easy. I need to deploy a 1U server which has SuSepro9.2 on it. I have figured out how to setup my multiple domains for webhosting, but now I need to be able to FTP into the server once its on the rack. How do I setup FTP for users? Now I don't mean a FTP server but the ability to connect via FTP with say Dreamweaver of another FTP app. Mark Susol ------------------------------- u l t i m a t e creative | media Web | Print | CD Media | eCommerce www.ultimatecreativemedia.com PH: 301-676-0075 IM: ucreativemedia

That's weird. I just successfully pre-ordered for a copy in the U.S. Maybe they just don't take whatever brand of card you're using? Not that I know what you tried, but it's a thought. I used my visa check card. Jack

The pre-order link is no longer where you found it, but once one actually does get to it (http://www.novell.com/products/linuxprofessional/preview/preorder.html), and chooses the North America link, one will find that Digital River cannot accept an order. They can't even deliver version 9.2. 9.1 is the only version that appears. I telephoned both Novell and Digital River earlier today, and they couldn't find it either. I suspect they haven't yet discovered and tortured (pour encourager les autres) the employee who arranged an identical failing for prior versions.

I did get to the page you mention..... and I did click on North America... but the resulting page says nothing about 9.3 or even 9.2. It is mostly Novell Training and other packages.... Really weird. No kidding! Terrible isn't it? I tried to use it to pre-order a copy for my sister in Canada... had to give up too. I ordered my own copy here in Europe without problems... took about 3 minutes from clicking the country in the list until I had my confirmation email in my inbox. I think I'm going to order a second copy and ship it to Canada. Probably get there before any distributor in Canada gets it anyway. The availabilty of SuSE in Canada has been pathetic to say the least. C

I'm certain it would be more comfortable should you decide to get "into" it. Warmer , most certainly. And should you be addicted to breathing some mix of O2 close to the ground, you most certainly will want to be inside the plane rather than on it.
I don't know where you are, but Americans get ON the plane, get ON the bus, get ON the train, and get ON line. How do the B-mer Brothers fit you, by the way?
No, we get IN the thing. It would be hard as hell to hold on to the roof and not fall if you got on.

I gave up.
She can try camelot.ca. I ordered my 9.1 from them and am happy with how they handled it all. Mike -- in Canada

Yes it's pathetic. Too bad SuSE didn't buy Novell, instead of the other way around. You would think with all that money they got from Microsoft, they could at least fund development of a good web site, which does not horizontal scroll. I hate that. The only thing worse than top posted mail replies are web sites that horizontal scroll! -- A: Maybe because some people are too annoyed by top-posting. Q: Why do I not get an answer to my question(s)? A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text. Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?

Though I didn't order, it doesn't seem to difficult from www.suse.com.
