After an update, I always run losf |grep "RPM" to list processes running with deleted files. Since 9.1 this seems broken on my box. In my 9.1 machine this will not terminate, and needs a ctrl-C to kill it. Works fine in 8.2 Can someone running 9.1 test with this command in a shell to see if properly terminates: lsof | grep "lib" If it does not return to the prompt you might need Ctrl-C to kill it. Note I suggest using "lib" as the grep argument because there is sure to be some libs open. Running SuSE 9.1 kernel 2.6.4-54.4 -- _____________________________________ John Andersen

I get a lot of output, and the prompt is promptly returned. I had to delete the leading spaces that proceed your instruction above, first I copied it and it didn't work. Then I removed the spaces and it worked. -- Frits Wüthrich
