[opensuse] Control the mouse pointer with the keyboard
Is there a way to control the mouse pointer with the keyboard (arrow keys) ? I have an Acer Aspire One mini laptop and for some reason the touch pad does not work (I have a dualboot system, Windows and openSUSE). -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

As you don't mention what DE you use I just tell you how you would do it in GNOME: Control Center / Keyboard and then the tab 'Mouse Keys' Enable it and you're all set. Dominique -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I use KDE 4.2 and there is a similar option there too, but for some reason it does not seem to work. It could be a possible bug, perhaps someone else could confirm this. Anyway, I have been able to enable the touch pad using the function keys. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Check on the keyboard - there is a Fn key combination to turn on (and off) the touchpad. You can also install gSynaptic (I think that is what it is called) and enable the touchpad there.
