[opensuse] Can't run VirtualBox
I downloaded and installed the openSUSE VirtualBox RPM from virtualbox.org. While it installs OK and I can install a virtual machine, when I try to run the VM it fails. I have tried installing DKMS and also virtualbox-guest & host modules, along with X11 drivers. I have included the log below. I first tried the openSUSE ones, in Yast and, like you. found they didn't work. I then uninstalled them and installed the RPM from virtualbox. I was now able to install the ovm, but not run it. They weren't. I turned them on and it still failed. I then uninstalled everything for virtualbox that I had installed and then re-installed the package. I now have VirtualBox running on both my desktop and notebook computers. On my desktop, I have installed an Ubuntu VM for an online course I'm taking. Just for fun, I installed OS/2 and Windows 98 on my notebook. Of course in OS/2, I can also fire up a Windows 3.11 (WinOS2) session. That gives me Windows 3.11 running on OS/2 running on Linux! ;-) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
