Hello, I'd really like to start trying Brahms but I'm getting no sound. Other apps such as xmms are working with no problem. I've SuSE 6.4 installed, an SB AWE32 card, and OSS compatability seems to be working. At first there were no output choices in Brahms so I manually loaded some of the modules and now EMU8000 is showing up as an output choice. Anyway, I've looked around and haven't found a faq that deals with Brahms and alsa together. Does anyone have the steps it takes to get this working or that can tell me what to check? Alsaconf will setup the require lines in modules.conf for you. Now run: rcalsasound restart > Anyway, I've looked around and haven't found a faq that deals > with Brahms and alsa together. By default, after an alsa install the channels are muted, you will have to unmute them with an alsa compatable mixer such as alsamixer which should be on your system.
