RE: RE: RE: [SLE] Kdevelop
Yes - thanks! The strange documentation indexing problem is still with me, and I see several messages like the following when I try to run the indexing step in Setup (as a user): Bad tag in serialized data 102 I see several of these. I really don't know what's going on here. I tried "Search" from the Help menu, and after entering something for it to search for, I get a message at the bottom of the window which says it is searching, but it never seems to find anything (either as root or user). Oh well..... Here's a strange one - I was following a very basic tutorial (one of those Hello World things) which uses the kdevelop wizard. You choose kmini as the type of application, then move on to enter the name of the program (FirstHello), path, etc. When you get to the "Create" step, it starts, but after about 4 lines of output, it stops. I tried a very similar tutorial from the online kdevelop documentation and this one worked fine. The ONLY difference between the two tutorials (at least up through the Create step) was the name of the program! I tried the first tutorial again and used the name HelloWorld instead of FirstHello. It worked perfectly. Very strange. The only thing I can think of is maybe there is an existing class or function (i.e. from some of the example code) which uses this name.... Enough blathering.... Thanks again! It is still puzzling though, as to what is causing the last remaining errors :-) Anyhow, I hope I have been of some assistance. Regards, Thomas Adam </snip>
