[SuSE Linux] kppp

Removing the word 'lock' (or was it 'locked', most often the only thing in the file anyway) from the file /etc/ppp/options is necessary for Kppp to work. Otherwise the 'ppp timed out' problem is all you will get!
Nope...."lock" is out of the file. Fred - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
Just a thought. Are you able to connect as root? Maybe you need to change some ownerships and/or permissions? I don't use kppp or any other X-based ppp dialup whatchmacallit. I just use my ppp-on and ppp-off scripts. They work like a charm and I can dialup from the console too :) Mark --- Fred A. Miller wrote:

The error I get is from root. Thanks, Fred Mark Wagnon wrote:
