k3b dual layer burning only as root?!?!?
Hi, SuSE 9.1 with KDE 3.4.1 (the problem persisted with 3.4 as well), and k3b 0.11.20cvs. I can burn single layer dvd and cd as regualr user OK, but it fails with some permission problem when I try to burn dual layer dvd. A complete bug report, with all the data is filed here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106472 Unfortunately, the k3b developer does not see this as bug, and thinks that it can be something kernel or system specific. Does anyone encountered this behaviour? Solutions? Thanks Sunny

Just FYI. I have k3b .11.24 with 9.3 x86_64 here, and I am able to burn DL disks here as user.

There is a newer version, but there are no changes in it in that direction. Unfortunately the packager of this version for SuSE 9.1. for some reason is restricting in the dependencies to KDE 3.3. And I'm using 3.4. Sunny
