Maybe my understanding of Yast is incorrect. I assumed that Yast can install via ftp download directly, yet Yast does not appear to be able to make a net connection, or find the connection that is established via Kppp or xterm>ftp> or alternatively ftp>open ftp.suse.com. Cant seem to find any info in the manual, so now need to review man pages in SuSE distribution.
I know yast can install via NFS, I've done a few suse installs that way since the systems didn't have a CDROM, but I don't know what you mean by ftp install. -- Lou A.
