RE: [SLE] Suse 6.3 printcap lp0 lp1
Don't use lprold from 6.3 at all - it is seriously broken. Revert to the version on 6.2, unless SuSE have posted a fix on the ftp site yet. Symptoms include - corrupt prints on DJ550c (not sure why, since Ghostscript does the actual conversion), lpd daemon requiring restarting after every print, & problems printing to a network printer. It does print to lp0 however. Do you have to edit lp1 to lp0 in the printcap file for suse 6.3 the way we had to do in 6.2?? Seem to be having a familiar problem but find no mention of it lpold is the upgraded version, so thats not the problem. -- "WorldSecure Server <lombard.co.uk>" made the following annotations on 12/30/99 09:42:06 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The opinions expressed within this email represent those of the individual and not necessarily those of Lombard.
