I have a Microtel 900 MHz Altheon processor PC with SuSE 8.0. When I try to select something, I have to go about 1 cm to the right of what I want to select. When I reboot the machine from a cold start, It is OK temporarily, then all of a sudden, same thing. Any idea of this strange behavior? Art
Hi, You might try to add this under Section "Device" in your /etc/X11/XF86Config: Option "sw_cursor" - Jostein On 16.03.03,20:50, Art Fore wrote:

Thanks for the info. I found there was a option "mouse movement" under the mouse device section. I remarked that out and it seem to have quit. What does the option "sw_cursor" do. Art Jostein Berntsen wrote:

Setting the option sw_cursor makes the X server draw the mouse pointer, instead of your graphic chip. That might help if there is some problem with your graphic chip or driver. You might also try to reconfigure it with Sax2. Some more info here: http://sdb.srcode.htmluse.de/en/sdb/html/cg - Jostein

Just set up a system with minimal install, while configuring the system I used the mouse in YAST2 however everytime I boot the system it pauses and requests that I select a mouse. Obviously on a server this is a PITB
