[SLE] Kernel compilation problem
Dear friends, I am trying to optimize the Kernel 2.2.13 of the Suse 6.3 for a Cyrix 166PR+ processor (64 M of Ram). For now only the i386 Kernel is working. I follow the procedure make xconfig (selecting the right choice for the processor) make dep make clean make bzImage. When I start the last command I receive the following error and bzImage is aborted: init/main.c: In fuction 'start_kernel': init/main.c:490: 'memory_start' undeclared (first use in this fuction) init/main.c:490: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once init/main.c:490: for each function it appears in.) What can I do? Thanks in advance Ale -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

If things go well at that point, you may want to submit your .config and the error output to the kernel devel group. ap> What can I do? ap> Thanks in advance ap> ap> -- S.Toms - tomas@primenet.com - www.primenet.com/~tomas SuSE Linux v6.3+ - Kernel 2.2.14 -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
