I have a tunnel script in /usr/local/tunnel, the script should execute from boot.local but is doesn't. I also have a command like ifconfig eth2:0 192.168.0.1 ... but the interface doesn't come up. I tried installing the tunnel script in /etc/rc.d/rc3.d and rc5.d. Thanks
What's the script called? What is the file mode? What's in the file?

That will not work, the network is not up yet.

That will not work in SuSE, either. man init.d Read "The SuSE boot concept" chapter in the administration book. - -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.0 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Made with pgp4pine 1.76 iD8DBQFD2rGbtTMYHG2NR9URAktAAJwM7kugGRcLt9wckCIvdDoSaHXL2wCbBHgK khSf/kPIKsdr1uobAwqcXZg= =RKzI -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
