Yast2's package manager won't start, redux
SuSE 9.1 Hi all, I'm having trouble getting YaST2's Package Manager to work. To cut a long story short, I somehow borked my version of the package manager, so I booted from my CDs and downgraded everything matching 'yast' to the 9.1 versions (2.9.*). The package manager then worked for a short amount of time, in which it decided it was necessary to do a whole lot of updates (I've got the 9.1, 9.2 and 9.3 package directories of http://anorien.csc.warwick.ac.uk set up as YaST installation sources), including some to itself. Now, when I execute '/sbin/yast2 sw_single', I get these error messages: Import 'ProductControl' failed Import 'ProductControl' failed Import 'Packages' failed No such client module sw_single Run 'yast2 -h' for help on usage Now, I'm running a mix of 2.9 and 2.10 versions of the YaST packages. I would have thought that they'd run in harmony, as the 9.2 source directory doesn't contain some YaST packages, so I assume that they haven't changed since 9.1 (is that a correct assumption?) Here's the list of what versions of packages I'm running. If it doesn't help, just skim past it. 2.10.* packages: liby2util-2.10.6-2.1 yast2-2.10.27-2.1 yast2-bootloader-2.10.17-2.1 yast2-control-center-2.10.4-0.1 yast2-core-2.10.16-2.1 yast2-country-2.10.15-2.1 yast2-mouse-2.10.5-2.1 yast2-network-2.10.33-2.1 yast2-online-update-2.10.3-2.1 yast2-packagemanager-2.10.18-2.1 yast2-packager-2.10.24-2.1 yast2-pam-2.10.3-2.1 yast2-perl-bindings-2.10.3-2.1 yast2-qt-2.10.12-2.1 yast2-storage-2.10.23-0.2 yast2-update-2.10.18-2.1 yast2-users-2.10.11-2.1 2.9.* packages: autoyast2-2.9.34-1 autoyast2-installation-2.9.34-1 yast2-backup-2.9.16-9 yast2-dhcp-server-2.9.16-5 yast2-dns-server-2.9.15-14 yast2-firewall-2.9.11-14 yast2-http-server-2.9.20-5 yast2-inetd-2.9.12-12 yast2-installation-2.9.57-1 yast2-kerberos-client-2.9.8-14 yast2-ldap-2.9.10-10 yast2-ldap-client-2.9.14-5 yast2-mail-2.9.13-14 yast2-mail-aliases-2.9.13-14 yast2-ncurses-2.9.20-3 yast2-nfs-client-2.9.11-14 yast2-nfs-server-2.9.9-14 yast2-nis-client-2.9.15-11 yast2-nis-server-2.9.8-14 yast2-ntp-client-2.9.10-14 yast2-phone-services-2.9.5-12 yast2-power-management-2.9.8-14 yast2-powertweak-2.9.14-10 yast2-printer-2.9.23-1 yast2-profile-manager-2.9.7-11 yast2-repair-2.9.10-14 yast2-restore-2.9.10-13 yast2-runlevel-2.9.13-14 yast2-samba-client-2.9.13-3 yast2-samba-server-2.9.15-12 yast2-scanner-2.9.15-0 yast2-security-2.9.14-9 yast2-slp-2.9.9-2 yast2-sound-2.9.19-4 yast2-support-2.9.3-14 yast2-sysconfig-2.9.14-10 yast2-tftp-server-2.9.4-14 yast2-theme-SuSELinux-2.9.9-6 yast2-trans-en_GB-2.9.4-5 yast2-transfer-2.9.3-2.1 yast2-tune-2.9.20-10 yast2-tv-2.9.9-6 yast2-x11-2.9.9-10 yast2-xml-2.9.8-10 How do you suggest I proceed?
