Actually, yes, you can.
They are not on disk, they are on memory, of course.
Then it might help if you explain HOW to get to it then since he probably doesn't know how to. Just telling him it's available isn't helping him to get to them and post the info.
Why should I repeat the info already posted? sigh... Look at the previous mail at <http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse/2008-05/msg01886.html> It says: ] http://en.opensuse.org/Bugs/YaST ] ] Explains various ways to get log files from an installation. ] You go to that page. There are several Q/A relating to log watching: * 1.9 How can I issue shell commands during an installation? * 1.12 How can I redirect YaST logs to a remote computer during installation? * 1.13 How can I redirect YaST logs to an USB stick during installation? * 2.1 I get a red text pop-up telling me "An error occurred during installation". Is there still any way to salvage log files? I would try the last one. Hint: the installation system is a normal linux system, using a ram disk. The logs are in the same place as on any suse linux system: in /var/log/, only that the "files" only exist in memory and will dissapear when you exit or power off or reboot. - -- Saludos Carlos E.R. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.4-svn0 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFINb2gtTMYHG2NR9URAtL6AJ0VcEyiFVOGXXcV1+0w359BW0AMsACgjShR 1ThcU9ALzmESMHeZ2i694oA= =lXI2 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
