[SuSE Linux] IRQ Info
Hi All, This mail is been sent from the KDE mail client so I hope that it is recieved Ok bcause the text is so small that I can barely see it. Another setting to find and change. Anyway I managed to figure out the apparently strange behaviour of the changing IRQ's. For those that may be interested in this effect. Booting dos without going into windows caused the modem to be initialised on com 2. Continuing into windows, caused windows to reinitialise the modem to com 3 because the modem had already been initalised on com 2, therefor com 2 was occupied. Com 3 was the next free port and irq 15 the first free irq counting down. As far as the problems with isapnp were concerned, my fault when I edited the .conf file I had included an extra right bracket on the very first identifier thinking that one was missing. So proof of the pudding so to speak. Suse all the way. Thanks for the prods and thoughts for getting me moving in the right direction.
