ls -l /media/floppy after backup. -rwxr-xr-x 1 finemanruss users 73986 2008-05-03 07:16 kmymoney-2008-05-03.kmy -rwxr-xr-x 1 finemanruss users 74346 2008-05-08 11:01 kmymoney-2008-05-08-2008-05-08.kmy note it was correct on the 2008-05-03. I just formated a floppy ass 1.44 DOS using kfloppy. I then told KMyMoney to backup to /media/floppy and to mount it. It did and successfully completed the backup according to the message. The title bar of kmymoney said kmymoney-2008-05-08 but the status bar showed writting kmymoney-2008-05-08-2008-05-08.kmy. Using: rpm -qa |grep kmymoney kmymoney-0.9-0.pm.cvs20080504 kmymoney-devel-0.9-0.pm.cvs20080504 OpenSUSE 10.3 latest version Kernel 2.6.22.18-SL103_BRANCH_20080221152521-default KDE 3.65.7 "release 72.9" The kmymoney cvs came from: http://packman.links2linux.de It possible the problem is caused by the compile on packman. I am able to use the backup and restore it. Its just the funny name.
