OK, I do know that this question has been asked here before, as well as in many other places, but I have yet to find any sort of satisfactory workaround for it ... I discovered that KMail has a default behavior of using quoted printable in email in many circumstances which are quite common, and apparently it cannot be turned off, even if you select "allow 8 bit." Frankly, this is *infuriating*, especially because it happens most frequently when signing a message with gpg, but also because it's nearly (besides HTML) the most annoying sort of encoding anymore for people who can only read the message in plain text, which is a LOT of *nix users. Is there any way around this, other than cutting off the trailing spaces? I haven't found any decent workaround other than this tedious method. Also, is there a way to have gpg/KGpg/KMail attach the sig instead of putting it inline? TIA, and sorry to repeat the question, but I've been searching literally for hours and nothing has been answered, other than the KMail developers saying it's that way on purpose (and their reasons don't seem to make a lot of sense, if you cannot change a default behavior in an app in a *nix environment). Am about ready to give KMail the boot if I can't change this. Am using 1.5.1 with KDE 3.1.1. - jt
