/Hi,
Been a Windows user for 10 years and have just ventured into linux courtesy of Mandrake and SuSE. I like the ease of use of Windows but the stability of linux. My financial applications are going to have to run on Win XP Pro until I am linux savvy enough to get them running on linux.
Whilst I was using Windows I had the pleasure of using the Quicken 95 package and later upgraded to Quicken 98 however there is a new release available for $80 for 2004, and of course the package I am using is 6 years old!.
Before I commit to it I would like to see if locally developed software matches or exceeds Quicken 98 on a Windows XP Pro platform. I am therefore asking for feedback from those users who used to use Quicken and have since migrated to Cubit.
Whilst I know the new version of 1.01 is probably ready for download, when can boxed CD sets be expected with a little manual?
Looking forward to the replies.
Regards Hylton Tnx Christo for the screenshots. Please include a couple used for entering transactions ie I buy a movie ticket or an accounting package. :)

I've been using gnucash http://gnucash.org/ (gnucash 1.8.5 rpm is on SuSe disks) which has the most excellent manual and will work for small business well (Qucken compatible). Only the fonts don't look that sharp. The next release is expected to use the gnome2 font system. On Monday 05 April 2004 13:19, Hylton Conacher (ZR1HPC) wrote:
