-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Recently my display has developed a problem which manifests itself as an apparent misalignment of the guns. Every text character is displayed with a white glow to the right and there appears to be shadowy lines across the display. At first, I thought may be I had messed up my XFree86 install with my last update bu no!, the problems are apparent even at boot up whilst displaying bios messages. I then tried an alternative working monitor to no avail. So I am left with the conclusion that my GeForce2 GTS graphics card is on the way out, OR, I need a new monitor (vga) cable. Does this sound reasonable? Has anyone come across this problem before? -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2-rc1-SuSE (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+2eKSRNQ96ZZBo4oRAjk0AJ9aEcuct2jw/6P6Wh62v7NeUxoTLACglvFA X7Fo35ADg9UcviwyeJot8qg= =DQeu -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

This sounds very much like the problem I had over the last several months with an ADI monitor. The monitor was about 9 years old. Last week it finally died. Replaced it with a 19inch Sony. Monitors are really cheap now compared to 9 years ago. The 17inch ADI cost over 600 dollars. You might have to replace it in the near future (year or so) Best, Terry -- SuSE Linux 7.3 (i386) 2.4.16-4GB Sun Jun 1 14:00:00 UTC 2003 2:00pm up 5 days, 17:17, 1 user, load average: 0.04, 0.07, 0.03
