Hi, I am trying to permanently disable the screensaver. Currently every time I log into KDE I have to right-click on the plug icon and select "Disable Screensaver". The next time I log in though, the screensaver is re-enabled. Does anyone know how to make this setting stick? Thanks, Scott

Scott, You can always call up xscreensaver-demo from a terminal and select disable screensaver directly. Pete -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peter N. Scott,
You can always call up xscreensaver-demo from a terminal and select disable screensaver directly.
Pete You can also right click on the desktop and go into properties to disable the screensaver.

Thanks for the suggestions. I had tried right-clicking on the desktop
before and disabling the screensaver but that still didn't help. I
found that by modifying /etc/sysconfig/powersave/scheme_performance to
set POWERSAVE_DISABLE_SCREENSAVER = "Yes" did the trick.
