[SuSE Linux] Samba once more !
Hi everyone! I'm having trouble with samba and I don't understand what is going on. I'm trying to access a Red Hat 5.1 Linux Server with samba 2.0.0 from a SuSE 6.0 station with samba 1.9.18. When I use: "smbclient //linuxserver/ernesto -U ernesto" I aceess it without problems, after typing my password of course. When I try: "smbmount //linuxserver/ernesto /mnt/server.ernesto -U ernesto" it asks me for my password but then it gives me an error saying "mount error: invalid argument" Can someone gives me an opinion about this please ! thanks ernesto ps. I had this working without any problems before upgrading to SuSE 6.0 (using SuSE 5.3) and samba 2.0.0 on the RH machine - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archive at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
