I'd like to make a 'disk' from which I can boot a system but I'd also like to be able to write to the boot device. I haven't tried anything like this before. I'm guessing that I could use a USB memory and that I'd be able to write to any remaining space once it booted. Is there a how-to for that? If I need more space, is it possible to put a boot image on a rewriteable DVD and then write extra data to the DVD after it has booted?
