Unusual as it may appear ;-) Im sending this from pine via fetchmail! zentara did you run the fetchmailconf prog? set the preferences to auto my .fetchmailrc

<snip> It's not included in the 5.3 dist. I grabbed the fetchmail-4.6.9.tar.gz source and compiled it. The 5.3 dist does include fetchmail, which is installed in the /usr/bin dir. Try taking the @netfrog.net off of your username. Just a shot, as I'm in the process of setting it up also. ;)

No, that isn't it. My email username is the entire email address. The problem is I have the wrong protocol. I was assuming pop3, but it is APOP, "Authorized POP". So I just need to change the protocol to APOP. I guess alot of mailservers are switching to it. You can tell if you have APOP, by looking at the first header line you get from the mail server. If it is an internet address in brackets, with some long number as the first entry, then it is APOP.
