RE: DCOP Server Error (resolved?)
I looked around my system and saw that there were some directories left over in my tmp dir called, mcop- ksocket- kde- after the dash was my user name, there were also a bunch for root I deleted those directories and kde2 loads up now. I don't know why that worked? Now, since my upgrade to KDE2.1.1, I get a modprobe, can't locate module sound-slot-I and several other modules relating to sound. More stuff to figure out I guess. Was KDE 2.1 loading okay before you upgraded to 2.1.1? If so this might be the same problem I am having. If this is the case, I'll have to try your tip and see if it fixes my problem.
