Hi All, Where do I find information about using a network time server to synchronize the clocks of serveral clients. Our depertment already has a server, and I can access it from my Macintosh. Any idea how to access it from linux (Suse 6.3)? Thanks, Maarten Sneep

I had SuSE 6.4 which was running fine. I decided to install SuSE 7.0 from the scratch. Now when I click on display properties in the KDE desktp at first I get black screen and then the white on blue message: "OUT OF SCAN RANGE". Any advices? And in addition, I lose control over the system and I have to do hard reboot. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq

I disabled video shadowing in BIOS setup, I tried different video modes, I used text based interface (XF86Config sp?), specified various VESA modes at the boot (followed by sax2 -m 0=fbdev). Nothing helped. Every time KDE worked but when I clicked on the desktop and selected Display Properties I got the same error. So long as I not try D.P. I could work with other stuff. Is the KDE broken? If I'm reading the question correctly, you want to sync the time on the Linux box with the network time-server. The program that you're looking for is probably either ntp or xntp. The man pages are good for both of these. HTH, Geordon
