Dear colleagues. Now that we can not get MS ttf fonts for free, there is a question of getting GOOD scalable fonts for cyrillic (serif, sans serif and fixed-width). Can any1 share their experience in getting ones? Sincerelly, SHiFT

COOL! that's great. despite eveything you may speak about MS, their (well, AFAIK formelly Monotype's + Microsoft's verdana) fonts are the best UNICODE fonts i saw, that also implement cyrillic. Too sad i have to by Windows to have Tahoma legally (and expecially forthcoming Nino)-- this font best suits the UI interface on screen -- are there any free analogs?

I have kept a tarball of the MS truetype fonts, if you need them. I even made a simple RPM package launching all the necessary scripts (compatible at least with SuSE 8.0) during post-install. I can send it to whoever needs it. - -- Thibaut Cousin email : cousin@in2p3.fr web : http://clrwww.in2p3.fr -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE9nAm8v1vqsTa1E4oRArp9AJ4i9ucVwdXPFbFiU7NCpqN0umwblwCgnh+G pxhROhbyzUlF0f+palMSydk= =K5Nb -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

Their EULA said that the fonts were ok to distributed in their original form..so that's what their doing. -- Ben Rosenberg ---===---===---===--- mailto:ben@whack.org Tell me what you believe..
