posted ximian evolution rpm patch/update for 8.2
I recently downloaded the evolution rpm patch for 8.2 and used yast to install it. But it didn't seem to install and evolution remained at 1.2.2 Does any body know if there is a problem with that patch? I have a suspicion that it is a patch for 8.1 and will not work for 8.2 Any comments? -- Cheers, Serge Naggar

I don't know about the patch, but James Ogley (who is a member of this list) makes rpm's for various Gnome apps for SuSE 8.2, including Evo and Mozilla. I used his rpm's to update both Evo to 1.2.4 and Moz to 1.4b and they are perfectly wonderful (and work perfectly in KDE, which is what I use). His site is http://www.usr-local-bin.org/ and he is a Prince Among Men for doing this. Try it and I think you'll be pleased. Wow the site you recommended is great and I agree with your assessment of James Ogley. By the way I wondered if you did update evolution because mine did not! Mozilla did and is great so did gnucash, etc. On Fri, 2003-05-30 at 22:52, Marian Routh wrote:
