[opensuse] [ml-admin] New Mailinglist Archive - Beta1
Hey Peepz, Sorry for the cross-post (sorry for bothering the suse-linux'ers with an english mail :). I am nearly finished setting up the new Mailinglist Server/Archive. Before i start migrating lists i would like to ask for your help to pound on it. Here is what you can do: * Browse the Archives and tell me about errors in the layout or features you miss. You can reach the new server at http://lists4.opensuse.org * Subscribe to the opensuse-test@opensuse.org mailinglist and use it. I hope this will show me which new features and which features that are not longer there i need to document. Also if you really use that list for communication i might see how it performs in real-life. Here is a list of commands you can use: Subscribe/Unsubscribe the list ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ * opensuse-test-subscribe@opensuse.org * opensuse-test+subscribe@opensuse.org * opensuse-test-unsubscribe@opensuse.org * opensuse-test+unsubscribe@opensuse.org Subscribe/Unsubscribe the nomail version of the list ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ * opensuse-test-subscribe-nomail@opensuse.org * opensuse-test+subscribe-nomail@opensuse.org * opensuse-test-unsubscribe-nomail@opensuse.org * opensuse-test+unsubscribe-nomail@opensuse.org Subscribe/Unsubscribe the digest version of the list ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ * opensuse-test-subscribe-digest@opensuse.org * opensuse-test+subscribe-digest@opensuse.org * opensuse-test-unsubscribe-digest@opensuse.org * opensuse-test+unsubscribe-digest@opensuse.org Get help from the mailinglist server ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ * opensuse-test-help@opensuse.org * opensuse-test+help@opensuse.org Get the list FAQ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ * opensuse-test-faq@opensuse.org * opensuse-test+faq@opensuse.org Get a mail from the archives ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ * opensuse-test-get-<NUMBER>@opensuse.org * opensuse-test+get-<NUMBER>@opensuse.org As you can see we have a second syntax now. listname-<command> and listname+<command>. In the long run i will drop the first syntax and allow only + as seperator. Long run here means in a year or so. * Pound on the search provided in the web-frontend. The indexing for individual lists happens every 5 minutes. The overall indexing for all lists happens everyday at 03:00 GMT. If you find something that annoys you or if you have an idea on how i can make things better please drop me a bugreport at bugzilla product: openSUSE.org component: wiki assign to: hvogel@suse.de If you cant use bugzilla drop me personally a mail - not to the lists please!! could there be a way to answer an archived mail? may be this could be limited (on time), but when you come back to a subject to see you have accidentally deleted the mail, you can find it in the archives, but how can you answer it (without opening a new thread)? thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://dodin.org/galerie_photo_web/expo/index.html http://lucien.dodin.net http://fr.susewiki.org/index.php?title=Gérer_ses_photos -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
