Gerhard: I haven't been following this thread at all --- i am assuming you are looking for the latest qt3-3.1 rpms and therefore, the ones SuSE has at their 7.3 KDE site: <http://www.suse.de/en/private/download/linuks/i386/update_for_7_3/base.html> won't work --- right?

Downloaded the new qt3-3.1 under the XFree86-4.3.0 and fix most of my problems. Specialy the Control Center (QT fonts).

Where did you download the qt3-3.1 from ? Is there a qt3-3.1 for 7.3/8.0 as well

You may install install it, using apt.

It's 8.1, so it will *not* work under 7,3 (gcc++ 3.2 vs gcc++ 2.X, which means different name mangling )
