Has anyone gotten xisp the ppp dialing program to work on SuSE 5.0? The rpm I grabbed from redhat's ftp site will not install even after I install the correct xforms lib. It says it needs the libforms but libforms will not compile with xforms under rpm. And without one or the other xisp will not work.
Any success stories out there with xisp using the rpm from redhat?

hello michael... i have it working... i have been using xisp for the past few months, and it works great! there is some problem with the rpm's but if you get the gz file you can unpack it... you do have to update the xforms lib to version .86... instructions come with xisp... i am using xisp version 2.2 ... i haven't been able to get 2.3 to work properly... please note that YaST will reset permissions on the ppp file when it does its update... you have to reset the permissions as per the xisp docs when you let YaST update things... else xisp won't work... hope this helps... mitch -- ----- Vibroplex, since 1890, the oldest name in ham radio!-------- Felton "Mitch" Mitchell, W4OA The Vibroplex Co., Inc. w4oa@vibroplex.com 11 Midtown Park East 334-478-8873, FAX 334-476-0465 Mobile, AL 36606-4141 Visit our website at <A HREF="http://www.vibroplex.com"><A HREF="http://www.vibroplex.com</A">http://www.vibroplex.com --------------0E137AD34C70AAB3ED6E34E6 Content-Type: text/html; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit <HTML> Michael Perry wrote: <BLOCKQUOTE TYPE=CITE>Has anyone gotten xisp the ppp dialing program to work on SuSE 5.0?
