Simple LiLO Question
I noticed that when I installed SuSE 7.0 it put three entries in LiLO, linux, SuSE and Windows. Does anyone know what the diffeence is between the linux and SuSE entries - is it documented anywhere? Nev

None Suse is your backup if you want to compile your own kernel and sh.. happens since when you compile it may overwrite your image referanced by linux HTH -- Togan Muftuoglu toganm@turk.net 100% MS FREE Absolutely no component of Microsoft was used in the generation or posting of this e-mail. I think you will find that linux and Suse are in fact copies of the same kernel image. I would guess that a second copy is installed as a safety mechanism in case of boot failure, or so you have at least the default all-purpose kernel available. Cliff

Thanks, that's very handy to know as (according to the handbook)I thought the command 'make bzlilo' would have added a lunux-old entry so I could choose that one if I experienced any trouble. Nev
