Hallo all I am running suse 8.2 pro here, and I need to take screenshots. I have previously used ksnapshot for this but I see that it is not included in 8.2. Am I overlooking it ? Is there anything else I can use? There is another package under: Kstart-->Graphics-->Editor called xgrab (you may have to install it) that should work well. It lets you controll what you take a snapshot of. -- Ken Schneider unix user since 1989 linux user since 1994 SuSE user since 1998

Open a console window and write: import <filename.png>. Then move your mouse over the window you like to save, and click the left mouse. 2 bips indicates it has been succeeded. If its a total screenshot: import -window root <picture.png> and enter. Then 2 bips sounds, and the screenshot has been saved. Typing "import" in a console shell results in a "command not found error". What packages have to be installed to use this useful command? TIA. LW999
I haven't seen the original post. START --> Graphics ---> ksnapshot. Regards Sid. LinuxWorld999 wrote:

Try "Gimp" - It does screenshots plus offer a time delay -- 73 de Donn Washburn __ " http://www.hal-pc.org/~n5xwb " Ham Callsign N5XWB / / __ __ __ __ __ __ __ 307 Savoy St. / /__ / / / \/ / / /_/ / \ \/ / Sugar Land, TX 77478 /_____/ /_/ /_/\__/ /_____/ /_/\_\ LL# 1.281.242.3256 a MSDOS Virus "Free Zone" OS Email: n5xwb@hal-pc.org Info: http://www.knoppix.net
