can I get help playing Realplayer streams?
Hi guys & gals I hope you can help. I love listening to BBC radio and would really like to make more use of it's "listen again" feature http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/index.shtml However, I cannot seem to get the buffer to refill beyond the first 4 or 5 minutes. This happens whether I use either Kaffeine or RealPlayer or play the stream. In addition I am finding that my Konqueror will not play ball at all at this URL but consistently crashes. Is this something any of you have come across before? or should I raise a bug report with the KDE developers? Thanks for your time and interest Regards, Sylvanus

Regards, Sylvanus I listen to BBC on a regular basis, and have the buffering set to 'entire clip up to available memory' w/o problems. Fact is, BBC is unavailable, right now, because of the olympics --what olympics? ;-)-- but you should still be able to get their constantly-repeating msg stating nothing is available. -- ..."Yogi" CH Namasté Yoga Studio "If music be the food of love, why can't rabbits sing?"

Just a suggestion... Remove the Realplayer8 RPM that came with SuSE 9.1, and install the RealPlayer10 RPM available from www.real.com. I've had greater success with it over the older version. -- JAY VOLLMER JVOLLMER@CONSOLIDATEDLINT.COM TEXT REFS DOUBLEPLUSUNGOOD SELFTHINK VERGING CRIMETHINK IGNORE FULLWISE

I had to go to the Helix link to find a installable version. Rich -- C. Richard Matson I d/l via the Helix link some time back & the RP I got didn't work well at all on my system. The video was okay but the sound was really crappy, and at a much lower volume then w/the RP8. Hope real.com has a better version.

Just downloaded and ran the RPM file via YaST. Now I see two options under Multimedia - Video Player for RealPlayer 10 plus the old RealPlayer icon. The problem is that none of them respond at all when selected. I am running SuSE 9.1 on that box w/Mozilla 1.6 -- Thanks! & 73, doc kd4e West Central Florida 100% Linux.
