[opensuse] How to boot openSUSE live ISO from HDD using installed GRUB
Hello everybody, I'm very eager to try openSUSE without much tinkering with my system. Is it possible to boot the openSUSE live ISO from HDD using already installed GRUB (installed by Fedora17) ? I can boot any fedora live images, Ubuntu live images extracting all/some of the contents to a partition (of the HDD in which GRUB is installed) and adding some entry to the GRUB configuration file. I don't want to waist DVD or Pendrive and I don't have other HDD. Virtualization will not give native experience. Any help is welcome. =========== I'm yet a learner, warn me if I'm doing any wrong... It's GRUB 2 (beta) as was installed by default by Fedora 17. I never updated it. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

To be more precise, it's "grub2-2.0-0.25.beta4" To be more relevant, it's using "grub.cfg" with present day style/syntax (as far as i know). =========== I'm yet a learner, warn me if I'm doing any wrong...
