I'm not entirely sure what you want, but I'll assume: 1. you want to boot up to a graphical login 2. you want to have 2 consoles set up for graphical login 3. and a further 2 consoles for a text based login. Now I'm not sure if this'll work, as I haven't tested it, but you may want to try. 1. Go into yast and set the box up to boot to a graphical login screen (AFAIK all this does is change the initdefault line in /etc/inittab, but I can't be sure). 2. For an xdm login, edit the file /etc/X11/xdm/Xservers and find the line looking similar to: :0 local /usr/X11R6/bin/X :0 vt07 and add another line after it: :1 local /usr/X11R6/bin/X :1 vt08 If your lines don't look exactly like that, just follow the pattern... 3. Edit /etc/inittab and comment out the lines beginning with 3, 4, 5, and 6. Hope that puts you on the right track, Chris -- __ _ -o)/ / (_)__ __ ____ __ Chris Reeves /\\ /__/ / _ \/ // /\ \/ / ICQ# 22219005 _\_v __/_/_//_/\_,_/ /_/\_\
