Look here: http://www.opensuse.org/index.php/Download Check under "Development version" for local mirrors, etc. -----Original Message----- From: Carl William Spitzer IV [mailto:cwsiv@myrealbox.com] Sent: Tue 8/9/2005 11:31 PM To: Andreas Jaeger Cc: SuseLynuxEnglish Subject: Re: [SLE] SuSE 9.4? We'll start with beta1 next week, so expect something in the shops by October. And it will be called "SUSE Linux 10.0" - so, there won't be a 9.4 ;-)
Will the multi processor kernal be fixed? Several guys in the local lug find 8.2 runs faster than 9.0 -9.2 with multiple processors.
Do you have some benchmarks? Let's try them with the 10.0 betas as well and if it's reproduceable, then tell us.
I'm not aware of significant changes from our side that are responsible for this - so I would try the Linus kernel as well.

Anyone else having a problem with the bug thingy? It says to suggest a new feature for it, just to use the bug report system and choose wish list or something to that area, and when you go there, it's not on there. My guess is that it's not up yet because it was just put up a few days ago, so I'm not complaining by any means. Just want to help if possible. My suggestions for Open SUSE: Put Doom on the installation CDs, and make it so that all you need to do, is select it during the installation as you would any other package like XMMS for example, and then, you load it, all you have to do is click on it in a menu, or use the run command, or from a terminal, type Doom or something like that. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE It would be SO nice to have Doom where you don't have to confgure everything and put something in this folder, this in another, and then try to run it only to hear it can't find the damned WAD file that's in the SAME directory as the executable you launched. OK so I'm bitter but it pisses me off I can't play Doom on Linux at all, Prboom wouldn't work for crap, gave it WADs, everything, no luck. So for suggestion on Open, put Doom in it and Quake, and Wolfenstein 3D, I believe they are all open sourced or GPLd or something by Id software, and the rules state only open software can be added to it, so these are legal requests there.
