[opensuse] Question about 11.3 from a new user

Hi all, I don't know if this is the proper list to ask question about the current developement version, but here we goes: I have just downloaded the live Gnome CD of 11.3 Milestone4 and have been trying to boot it, but no luck. Or at least, I think its not booting proprely. The reason why I say so is because I am visually impaired. When booting the Live CD one can then press F9 to get speech at the boot screen and I pressed enter on GNome live but nothing happened. I thought that the screen reader for Gnome, Orca, should come up talking when the CD had finished booting. Could anyone please try this? Or will I need to do something when the CD has finished booting? Any help would be apreciated, many thanks! The factory version may have problems. Things break. It could be that sound does not work for your system, that a component was not included on the live cd... I don't know if what you ask should work that way, but I can suggest two ideas: try the stable version instead, and/or ask in the factory list. You can also wait till somebody that knows how it should work reads your email and answers. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. To expand slightly on what Carlos said (just in case Christian has missed the terminology) the factory list is the proper place to discuss the development version. To subscribe, look for opensuse-factory@opensuse.org on <http://en.opensuse.org/Communicate/Mailinglists> Are you looking for some specific new feature? You may find it easier to install the current 11.2 release and then upgrade the specific feature from one of the other repositories.
