Hi, I have downloaded SuSe 8.1 from a FTP mirror. I have recursively downloaded all the directories under /suse/i386/8.1/. Now, how do I make a bootable CD and install SuSe 8.1? Thank you in advance for any help. -- Subba Rao subba9@cablespeed.com
Subba, SuSE FTP mirrors are generally used when installing over the Internet from a bootable disk. They are not designed to download ISOs from as you may have seen with other Linux Distros. I don't believe there is a way to make an .iso out of the files you downloaded. Can anyone else verify, or dismiss this? </Jared> On Sat, 2003-03-29 at 18:54, Subba Rao wrote:

There is an iso image to make a bootable CD so that an FTP install can be preformed. It's pretty much the easiest way other then buying a set of CD's. -- Ben Rosenberg ---===---===---===--- mailto:ben@whack.org Tell me what you believe.. I'll tell you what you should see.
