[opensuse] Remove KDE Desktops
Hello all! Using 10.3 and kde3. On the panel are 4 "desktops". I want to remove those from the panel. I don't see a way to do it in "look and feel" module. How does someone remove those 4 desktops? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Go to KDE Control Center > Desktop > Multiple Desktops. This will allow you to add/remove desktops. Jesse

With that, you can reduce it to one, but not remove it from the panel. -- Use OpenOffice.org <http://www.openoffice.org> -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Why on earth would you want to remove virtual desktops? I find them indispensable in my day to day work. Right click om desktop-> configure desktop -> multiple desktops and set the number to taste. Heh - Like the CLI, I never use the virtual desktops. I find them confusing. -- k -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

right-click on the desktops, and select "configure desktops" You need at least 1, by the way. And... to tell you the truth, having a 2nd "spare" one can be VERY useful (if you have a project which is "completely unrelated" to most of the stuff on your primary desktop, you can shuffle it off to the 2nd desktop... and then make things like your e-mail client visable on BOTH desktops. for example, when I'm programming, I don't want to be distracted by other things I've got going on...so I do all programming on a desktop devoted to that purpose. It helps concentration IMMENSELY. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
