anyway, i`d recommend posting that question to LKML to just "make some noise" regarding BadRAM - to show that there is user demand for that.
Looks like its not how it works, i.e. the author have to make some commitment to support the feature in the kernel, at least thats how I understand it.
furthermore, i recommend asking the BadRam author why he is maintaining a patch outside the main kernel for years now without ever trying to request inclusion of his patch. one more problem is, that there is no transparent BadRAM "community" because of missing badram mailinglist/forum. i contacted the author more than once and he told he would prepare it for inclusion, but it`s very calm regarding this for months now and he seems he has more important things to do.
He says on his site that he is willing to, but ... something :)
there was also someone (Pavel Machek) at LKML recommending exactmap - see http://marc.info/?l=linux-kernel&m=117325832231712&w=2 - but that information is absolutely useless to the end user, if nobody in this world knows how to translate badram patterns into memmap params.
Yes, I already found this, but I could not find any more details on the topic, so now I have to deal with returning the memory, and waiting. Good that this is new and I still can return it. I'd prefer just to save myself the hassle.
Also, as from the BadRAM's page I see that some distros do include this support, maybe it will be nice if opensuse can include this as well.
often, distros adapt special kernel patches before they go into mainline, but it`s always better to have a kernel feature in mainline than having it distro specific.

I remember in the old days, that if floppy's track is bad - I can continue working, but if track 0 is bad - then I throw it away. Does the same goes for RAM ? No, the first track contained information about the disk. Without it, the disk is useless

Not exactly, because it depend on if you are using dual channel RAM, and if you use x86_64 bit. Memtest86 provides the correct boot loader line for 32 bit system AFAIK.
