Missing lib /opt/kde2/lib/libkcm_kmix.so
Hello ppl :-) I did something very stupid lately by trying out the beta KDE2 on a freshly installed SuSE 7.1 system (a spare one). I uninstalled it again by removing the RPM packages with --nodeps option and installed the RPMS for KDE 2.11 from the SuSE FTP site. This works okay, except for one thing: If I open the KDE2 Controlpanel and selects the Sound->Mixer, I get an error about a missing libkcm_kmix.so RPM tells me no packages depends on it, so that explains why YaST2 cannot automaticly reinstall it. I tried this: djinni@pc105044:~ > rpm -q --whatrequires /opt/kde2/lib/libkcm_kmix.so no package requires /opt/kde2/lib/libkcm_kmix.so What should I do know? I would really hate to reinstall (or manual copy from another system). Thanks, Jens Nielsen

/opt/kde2/lib/libkcm_kmix.so is a part of the kdemultimedia.rpm. Try reinstalling that. Regards Ole PS. Held og lykke
