Hello Again, Before buying a new audio card (no big deal, but..) maybe tomorrow, just wanted to see if anyone has a "quick fix" to this problem (I posted this.. was it day before yesterday?):

I am having some trouble with the "sis966 Azalia Audio Controller" (shipped with my Acer Desktop) soundcard. Sound output works OK, but when I am recording voice, the resulting audio is full of cracking and popping.

Maybe I should try to fiddle around with some alsa parameters? What these might be?
