Hello, Has anyone gotten the Real Player plugin to work with Mozilla/Firefox in SuSE 9.1? If so, could you tell me where you got the plugin and how it is installed? When I try to listen to the radio on a site that uses the Real Player plugin (such as www.rfi.fr), Firefox says that the page can only be viewed with the plugin audio/x-pn-realaudio-plugin. I checked the plugin directory in Firefox, and it contains the plugin rpnp.so. (Actually, the plugin is a link to /usr/lib/browser-plugins/rpnp.so.) I was using the same plugin in Firefox (also version 0.8) in SuSE 9.0, and sites that used the Real Player plugin worked fine there. Has anyone encountered and solved this problem? Thanks very much. Dom

Have you copied your .mozilla profile from an earlier version of SuSE. I did this and realplayer wouldn't initially work. You need RealPlayer and Mozilla installed from the disks. If realplayer doesn't work, try Edit > Preferences > Navigator > Helper Applications and make sure audio/x-pn-realaudio is associated with /usr/lib/RealPlayer8/realplay -- JDL

Thanks very much for the info. Actually, I created a fresh profile for Firefox (.phoenix) when I installed 9.1. However, I installed Firefox from the Firefox site. I tried the version that came from the disks, and the Real Player plugin does work successfully! I verified that both versions of Firefox are using the same plugin (I copied the plugin from the CD version to the version from the Firefox site), so I can't imagine what is different. The reason I switched to the version from Firefox site is that the version of Firefox from the disk has junk in the print dropdown (several lines with 'PostScript/to') in the print dialog, and I can't seem to get rid of it. The print dialog in the version from the Firefox site is fine. Guess I'll have to do more investigation, or live with one of the two problems. Thanks again.
